All our markets are affected by the United States taking a tougher line against both Russia and China.
What is not so obvious to onlookers is that both these states have and are continuing for a considerable time being ramping up their military capabilites and continue to interfere local small conflicts worldwide.
As examples Russia through surrogates is massively interferes in the Middle East and for the first time in years South America ,openly supporting non democratic states such as Venezuela and Cuba ,pretending to champion Socalism ! Russia has also broken the non proliferation deal by secretely adding to its low flying rockets that can carry nuclear warheads.
China is actively finding new bases for its fleet and at the same time adding five hundred new ships yearly to its fleet.
Further China a signatory to world trade organisation deals ,ignores these and steals intelectual property quite openly. It uses these deals to bind its opponents to gain trade advantages.
China further provides capital to the most despotic countries with minimum regard for paying back the loans. Suddenly they demand the capital be payed back and if not forthcoming take over major institutions in these countries such as ports ,railways etc. Massive invasion of Chinese are then sent to these countries. This has mostly happened in Africa, a new form of colonialism !
China has also tried to expand its territory by claiming international parts of trading routes far removed from their land, such as the South China Sea over othe claimants and free passage ways.
